First salary hikes - Now bonuses?

Dont get be wrong. Its not a case of sour grapes. Kudos to all who earned those bonuses. But one begs the question - is the end cost to the client really an issue with the legal community? Among the top 5 things clients are looking for from law firms was cost saving initiatives. One can only think this is not really a priority for most large law firms. Associates are getting as much as 100% of their base salary in bonuses.
